CharCoat 1709 is a high-performance, 100% solids, two-component epoxy intumescent coating tested to the UL1709 standard and designed to provide passive fire protection for structural steel under extreme hydrocarbon fire conditions. Designed for both interior and exterior applications, it delivers up to 300 minutes (5 hours) of protection while also offering corrosion resistance and chemical durability.

This advanced system uses epoxy intumescent coating technology that activates at high temperatures to form a protective char barrier, preserving the structural integrity of critical infrastructure.
